ISLAMABAD, FEB 27 (ONLINE): Saba Faisal joined the industry as an announcer on PTV. She has been in the media for decades now and she is a star who knew how to reinvent herself. Saba Faisal started acting about two decades ago as she left news reading and she has not looked back since. She initially thought acting is not the profession of respectable people but she understood it better as she started acting herself and now understands it a lot better.
Saba is right now among the top stars in the drama industry. She has also done films and quite successfully performed all her characters. From positive to negative to grey, she has done it all. Saba Faisal largely plays the characters of mothers and mothers in law and she had an interesting story about playing a mom to old actors which she shared in her interview on The Ayaz Samoo Show.
She shared that she was first offered to play the character of mother to Humayun Saeed who is not too older than her about 22 years back. She took that character and now she is okay with playing Humayun Saeed’s mom. She revealed that the oldest actor she has played the mom of is Nauman Ijaz and she also found it a bit hilarious. She is though okay with any character as long as it is good.
