ISLAMABAD, May 31 (Online): Mamya Shajaffar, also known as Maham Shahid, is an emerging Pakistani model and actor. Mamya rose to fame through her popular soap serial Meesni which aired on Hum TV. Maham portrayed double role in Meesni. She played the main leads in Meesni. Her on-screen pairing with Bilal Qureshi was liked by fans. Mamya is an art lover, she loves dancing, acting and painting. Besides this, Mamya is known as a bold and fearless person. She also appeared in Jhok Sarkar and College Gate. Recently, fans are liking her in Jaan SE Pyara Juni which is airing on Hum TV. Mamya Shajaffar is happily married to Farooq Gul who is photographer, creative director and designer.
Talking about it, Mamya Shajaffar said,
“I think I got married at the right time. I was twenty five when I got married. I didn’t take an abrupt decision. We were already studying together and were seeing each other for three years. Well, I got married because my mother was quite strict, she used to say me to come home by 10:00 pm, which I didn’t want to. She then asked me to get married. So! When I was twenty five; I decided to marry. I called Gul to bring his mother. His mother came, and we got married within ten days. We got nikahfied in a simple nikah ceremony and then we went to Fairy Meadows for our reception. Me and Gul still think about doing a grand wedding although we had a wonderful reception at a beautiful destination”. Mamya Shajaffar also said that her mother in law is a super supportive and caring woman.
