Islamabad – As movie studios and exhibitors continue to face uncertainty over when theaters will be open, another film has been pushed out of 2021, Marry Me. Universal Pictures has pushed Marry Me, starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, from its most recent date of May 14, 2021 to February 11, 2022.
The romantic comedy was originally slated for release in early February 2021, though it was ultimately pushed to May amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby which centers on a beloved pop star (Lopez). She is about to get married to her rock star fiancee (Maluma) during a massive event at Madison Square Garden, and just moments before exchanging vows, learns he’s been cheating on her with her assistant.
Lopez and Wilson were both spotted frequently filming the rom-com in New York City between October and November in 2019. The movie is said to include numerous original songs by both Lopez and Maluma that will be featured on the soundtrack.
