Alia Bhatt says daughter Raha Kapoor has a very natural love for animals: ‘She has excitement around them’

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor became parents to a baby girl in November 2022. They named her Raha and since them their lives revolved around their daughter. Alia who has been beautifully balancing motherhood and work, recently was seen promoting ‘Poacher’ on which she’s a producer. The series is about forest officials who uncover an ivory poaching ring.
While it talks about nature and protecting animals, Alia revealed that she has this love for animals since childhood and it’s the same in case of her daughter Raha.

She said during a chat with The Hindu that Raha is growing up surrounded by animals and has this natural love for them. She added that children have this innate connect with nature and love being around nature and animals as it evokes a sense of peace and serenity within them. Alia recalled that her mother Soni Razdan would also become attached to animals because of her daughters. Alia and sister Shaheen Bhatt would often rescue kittens and foster them, or find new homes for them. Now daughter Raha has also imbibed that love naturally.
She added, “I’m saying this firsthand literally witnessing my daughter grow up around animals and she has like a natural love and excitement around them.”

The actress further emphasised on how our minds become inundated with the complexities of school, life and human interaction leading to a cluttered and crowded mental space. However, when we surround ourselves around greenery, there’s a unique sense of calmness.
