INDIA, March 23 (Online)Ajay Devgn is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Bholaa, which is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster Kaithi. The narrative has been framed as a “one-man army, set in one night, fighting a multitude of enemies in various forms, human and otherwise.”
Recently, in an interview with Filmfare, Ajay Devgn talked about how he prepared for his role in Bhola. He said, “I prepared myself more as a director and when a director prepares for a film he prepares for all the actors. In that process the director prepared the actor well.”
When asked to pinpoint the most interesting piece of filmmaking attribute he has picked from the various directors he worked with, he replied, “You know it’s very tough. I have worked with some great directors from Bhatt saab to Govind Nihalani to Prakash Jha to everybody and to Rajkumar Santoshi…even K Vishwanath. They all have such different styles that initially you feel they’re not making sense to you. But when you start following them that is the time you realise what they really want. And they are so different. So, I can’t pinpoint one but I would say that it depends on which situation which director comes to your mind and what you picked up from them.”
The original film centred around a former convict who decides to meet his daughter for the first time after being released from prison but gets caught up in a shootout between police and the drug mafia.
Aside from Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Ajay Devgn himself and is all set to hit the theatres on March 30.
