Islamabad – September 15 (Online): Balochistan Governor Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha on Wednesday called on International Islamic University (IIU) President, Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi at Faisal Masjid Campus.
Issues of mutual interest and role of educational institutions in country’s progress was discussed during the meeting.
Both dignitaries agreed to boost academic cooperation between IIU and educational institutions of Baluchistan. They also discussed initiatives for promotion of quality higher education and role of universities in society building.
Governor Baluchistan assured of maximum cooperation to promote quality education. He said universities must promote exchange of experiences through mutual cooperation. He appreciated the role of IIUI for providing special facilities to the Balochistan students. Talking on the Pak-Saudi ties, the Governor said that Pakistan gave great importance to relations with Saudi Arabia as both are time tested friends.
IIU President apprised the Governor of the university’s vision, newly approved strategic plan and goal of academic excellence.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have longstanding fraternal ties and IIU is true example. IIU President said that IIUI is a unique hub of learning and it has a vital responsibility of nurturing Muslim youth according to the prevailing challenges in the light of Islamic teachings.
