Complete curricular courses to be covered now: Education Minister

Islamabad – September 14 (Online): Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood has said that no relaxation would be given to students onwards as far as curricular courses are concerned, adding that all students will be declared pass in board exams’ results and 33 percent marks will be awarded to them in case they fail in any subject.

According to a press release of inter-provincial educational ministerial meeting, all education ministers of country were of the opinion that since students had faced difficulties during preparing for their exams, and that abrupt supplementary exam is not possible in current scenario, students should be given concession.

The meeting decided that all educational boards of country will give away 50 percent grace marks in practical examinations and fifty percent marks will be given on the basis of theoretical exams.
Board of technical education will also use same method to promote students, the meeting decided.

According to the press release, matric examinations will be held in May, June next year while new educational year will begin from August.
Federal Minister Shafqat Mehmood while addressing the meeting said that A-levels and O-levels examinations will take place on time, while universities will announce a proper schedule for their examinations.
