ISLAMABAD Nov 19 (Online): The important meeting of the Sugar Advisory Board has been convened on November 21, the meeting will be chaired by the Federal Minister for Industries and Production Gohra Ijaz.
According to the sources, it is likely that the issue of sugar export of sugar mill owners will be presented in the sugar advisory meeting on November 21. The mill owners have demanded to export two and a half lakh tons of sugar.
The Sugar Advisory Board will review the current stock of sugar and the Ministry of National Food Security will also make recommendations regarding the minimum support price of sugarcane.
Sources have further informed that the issue of sugarcane crushing for the crushing year 2023-24 is also included in the agenda of the meeting.
