ISLAMABAD, The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around on Friday and witnessed bullish trend, gaining 118.17 points, with positive change of 0.25 per cent, closing at 48,211.70 points against 48,093.53 points on the last working day.
A total of 867,303,152 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 889,935,905 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 26.575 billion against Rs31.658 billion the previous day.
As many as 422 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 249 of them recorded gain and 150 sustained losses whereas the share price of 23 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 89,041,000 shares and price per share of Rs 3.56,Hascol Petrol with a volume of 78,891,733 and price per share of Rs11.05 and Byco Petroleum with volume of 54,690,000 and price per share of Rs11.17.
Sanofi-Aventis witnessed maximum increase of Rs41.76 per share, closing at Rs965.72 whereas Siemens Pakistan was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs40.95, closing at Rs587.05.
Wyeth Pak Ltd recorded maximum decrease of Rs213.38 per share, closing at Rs2631.77 followed by Island Textile, the share prices of which decreased by Rs179.99 per share, closing at Rs2220.01.
