QUETTA, Jun 21 (APP):The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has directed warehouse and depot operators, cold storage facilities, training service providers, and insurance agents across the province to immediately complete their registration with the Authority if they have not yet done so, and to fulfill their legal obligations under the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services Act, 2015. According to BRA, a 5 percent sales tax rate applies to these services.
All relevant service providers are required to file their tax returns within the prescribed deadlines, pay due taxes promptly, and ensure full compliance with tax laws. The Authority clarified that input tax credit or adjustment will not be admissible for these sectors, urging service providers to calculate and discharge their tax liabilities strictly in accordance with the law. Officials stated that the tax system has been fully digitized, with registration, return filing, and tax payment processes now available online, ensuring greater convenience and transparency for taxpayers.
The BRA appealed to warehouse owners, cold storage operators, training institutes, and insurance agents to complete registration, file returns, and pay taxes on time to avoid penalties, legal action, attachment of bank accounts, and other business complications. Reaffirming its commitment, the Authority announced that awareness and compliance campaigns will continue with the aim of expanding the tax net, promoting transparency, and increasing revenue to support Balochistan’s development.
