ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (Online): State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said bank deposits are completely safe.
The bank said banking system in Pakistan is stable and deposits are secure under robust regulatory and monitoring framework.
The SBP said in an explanatory statement the profit in banking system has soared about 125 percent. The capability of tolerating immense jerks has further improved in banking department. Deposit Protection Corporation has further enhanced protection. Insurance cover upto Rs 5 lac has been provided to every depositor.
