New Jersey (PID, AJK) President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry has said that in view of the fast deteriorating political and human rights situation in the Indian occupied Kashmir there was a dire need to raise issue of Kashmir aggressively at all international forums.
The AJK president who arrived here from Abu Dhabi said this while addressing various receptions held in his honor by the Kashmiri Diaspora community. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Kashmiris living abroad have an important role in keeping the Kashmir issue alive at the international level.
He said that Kashmiris living in the United States were doing their best to draw the attention of the international community to the Kashmir issue.
He said that it was high time that the Kashmiri expatriate community must join their hands and play their role to expose India’s brutal oppression and suppression of Kashmiris in the Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that Kashmiris have been reeling under barbarism and brutality since the BJP government revoked the special status of Occupied Kashmir in 2019.
Urging India to stop violence and human rights abuses in Kashmir, he said, India must bear in mind the fact that it cannot suppress the Kashmiris’ urge and their passion of freedom by the dint of force.
