Islamabad (PID, AJK ) While welcoming the upcoming OIC foreign minister’s moot, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has expressed the optimism that the OIC would raise its voice for the Muslim Ummah especially for the people of the Indian ooccupied Kashmir, who have been reeling under India’s relentless and brutal suppression.
In his special message, the AJK premier said that Kashmir being on the list of the agenda of the OIC conference was a significant development. “Holding second OIC conference, in a row, within a short span of time is a great diplomatic achievement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan”. Owing to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s pragmatic policies, the AJK PM said that Pakistan was now in a better position on the diplomatic front.
He said that as a result of PM’s successful campaign against Islamophobia at international level, the UN General Assembly adopted a historic resolution and set March 15 Day as international day to combat islamophobia.
Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi voiced his grave concern over the world community’s silence over the sufferings of the people of Palestine and Indian occupied Kashmir. “Global silence over the Israel’s and India’s naked aggression is a matter of serious concern”, he said.
Urging the global community to shun its policy of indifference towards the problems confronted by the Muslim world, he said that it was high time that the international community and influential world government should come forward and play its role in resolving the Kashmir and Palestine issues.
He said that under the given circumstances there was dire need that Muslim countries should get united for the larger interests of the Ummah.
The unity withing the Muslim nations, he said, was the key to resolve the Kashmir issue and Palestine. “World peace is inescapably linked to a just settlement of Palestine and Kashmir issue”, he added.
