IIOJK people thank President Erdogan for raising Kashmir dispute at UNGA

Islamabad, SEP 22 (ONLINE): : Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi has said that the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir sincerely thanks the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for his full support and interpretation of the fundamental right of the Kashmiris, the right to self-determination, at the United Nations General Assembly.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Safi in a statement issued in Islamabad said Pakistan and Türkiye have always raised their voices in favour of the oppressed. He said Pakistan and Türkiye are Islamic states that have always openly adopted a position based on justice on the burning issues of the Muslim Ummah and stood on it. “We hope that other Islamic countries will also support the Kashmiris’ birthright to self-determination,” he added.

He said the unity of the Muslim Ummah can bring back the glory of the Muslim countries as the spirit of sacrifice is present in the Muslims to the highest degree. The success of Afghanistan is the result of this sacrifice, spirit of jihad and passion for martyrdom, he said, adding if there is any fault, it is in the leadership of the Muslim Ummah. Muslim leaders should forget mutual differences and cooperate with each other in resolving regional and international issues to save the Ummah from being dishonored.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi said Tehreek-e-Hurriyat believes that the diligence with which the President of Türkiye discussed the Kashmir dispute at the world’s largest forum and emphasized the need for its solution is worthy of praise but all these efforts can be beneficial only if they are continued on all fronts and continuously.

He said Tehreek-e-Hurriyat understands that continuous efforts are needed for a just solution of the Kashmir dispute and the right to represent the oppressed Kashmiris at every front. This is the cure for India and the dawn of freedom, he added.

He said continuous efforts are needed for a just solution of the lingering Kashmir dispute and the right to represent the oppressed Kashmiris at every front, adding this is the cure for India and the dawn of freedom.
