MIRPUR, Jul 10 (APP):Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq on Wednesday paid a surprise visit to Ch. Ghulam Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences in the state metropolis and assessed the health cover facilities being delivered to the ailing humanity by the state-run institution.
During his visit, the PM went round to various hospital departments and ordered the provision of quality treatment facilities to patients, early purchase of medicines, and necessary equipment, including MRI and CT scanners.
He also directed to ensure 100% free supply of medicines to OT, gynecology, and emergency patients.
He said that provision of additional funds for the supply of medicines and purchase of necessary equipment would also be ensured. He announced the immediate provision of 20 contingent posts to address the oversupply of sanitation workers while describing the sanitation arrangements in the health facility as unsatisfactory.
On this occasion, the AJK PM was accompanied by Senior Ministers Waqar Ahmed Noor, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Nisar Ansar Abdali, and Faheem Akhtar Rabbani.
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq visited different areas of the capital city, Muzaffarabad, including Gojra, Jalalabad, Sain Sohaili Sarkar, and Tariqabad.
On this occasion, the AJK PM directed the administration to instruct the people to adopt safety measures and stay away from dangerous areas/spots at risk of landsliding or flash- flooding during the monsoon.
He also instructed the administration to be vigilant to deal with any emergency situation.
The PM was accompanied by Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Javed Iqbal Badhanvi, Chaudhry Mohammad Rasheed, and other pertinent officials of the government.
