Federal government responsible for gas turmoil, says Sindh Minister

Karachi-October09 (Online): Sindh Energy Minister Imtaiz Sheikh has said that the gas crisis in the Sindh has become serious again and the entire responsibility for gas turmoil lies with the federal government.

Reacting to the gas shortage, Imtaiz Sheikh has said that thousands of people would be laid off from private power companies, industries and the CNG sector and the province which produces the most natural gas has been deprived of gas.

He said that the domestic consumers are also facing reduction in the gas pressure. If this is the case of gas in summer, then what will be happen in winter?

He said that the shortage of gas was the result of delayed agreements on RLNG and the stalemate in the import of LNG was a failure of the rulers.

It should be noted that Sui Southern Gas Company had announced a sudden shutdown of CNG for three days on the pretext of gas shortage in Singh before winter.
