ARACHI, Sep 04 (Online): Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed to return corruption reference against Dr Asim to chairman NAB.
The decision was announced by a two member’s bench of SHC led by Justice KK Agha after hearing corruption reference of Rs 17 billion against Dr Asim and others Monday.
SHC accepted plea of Farooq H Naik counsel for Dr Asim regarding the jurisdiction of the court.
Farooq H Naik took the plea reference has been made against Dr Asim for providing gas to his favorite companies. After NAB amendment law, this case falls no more in the jurisdiction of accountability court.
Justice KK Agha remarked now new amendment has come. Legislation is right of parliament.
Farooq H Naik said that Rs 17 billion corruption JJVL reference is against the law.
