ISLAMABAD Oct 29 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will hear the case related to the holding of general elections on November 2.
The bench includes Justice Athar Minullah and Justice Aminuddin Khan.
SC issued a notice to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Federal Government on the previous hearing and sought their response.
Supreme Court Bar, PTI and others have filed petitions against the decision of the Council of Common Interests and holding elections in ninety days.
ECP and the Federal Government have prepared responses which are likely to be submitted on Monday, in which the Election Commission and the caretaker government will inform about the efforts and actions taken so far regarding the elections.
It should be noted that the Chief Justice said that the application related to the general elections is a very important case, the general elections case is a very important case and should have been heard immediately, the case would have been decided by now.
