LAHORE, Sep 13 (Online): Petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) against not announcing the date for general election.
The petition has been filed by Azhar Siddique chairman Judicial Activism Panel making federal government and others respondents.
The petitioner has taken plea in the petition that President of Pakistan has to announce the date for election as per constitution. The tenure of the assembly has expired since several days but the date for general election has not been announced.
The petitioner requested the court to issue directive to the president to announce date for election.
