IHC wraps up PTI founder petition regarding jail facilities following statement of supdt Adiala jail

ISLAMABAD, JAN 28 (ONLINE): Superintendent Adiala jail has presented in Islamabad High Court (IHC) details of facilities provided to Imran Khan in jail.

The court wrapped up Imran Khan petition for arranging his telephonic talks with his sons and facilities in jail with directives following the statements of superintendent Adiala Jail.

The petition on arranging Imran Khan telephonic talks with his sons and facilities in jail came up for hearing in IHC Tuesday.
Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamer Farooq took up the case for hearing.

The court inquired from superintendent jail what facility was given to petitioner.

Jail superintendent said all the facilities are being provided to him under category B. One cook, TV and newspaper have been provided to him. Meeting for two times is allowed to him. But we arrange meeting four times too.

Superintendent Jail said Bushra Bibi meeting was arranged before her conviction. The meeting of Bushra Bibi will be arranged after her conviction.

The court remarked there is plea for arranging telephonic talks with the children.

Superintendent Adiala Jail said if permission is given for telephonic call with children outside the country then other prisoners can challenge it in the court. We have prisoners from 25 countries. If talks are arranged outside the country then it will become a tradition. International calls are not allowed by government and as per jail rules.

Health facilities in Adiala jail are the best among all. Doctors conduct check up daily in jail. PTI founder watches 16 T V channels. Two news papers have been provided to PTI founder.
