IHC issues detailed decision on restoration of bail pleas of Imran Khan in 9 cases

ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (Online): Detailed decision regarding restoration of bail pleas of chairman PTI Imran Khan in 9 cases including May 9 incidents has been issued.

A two members bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) presided over by Chief Justice (CJ) Aamir Farooq has issued 6-page detailed decision.

9 cases include Tosha khana, forgery, May 9 incidents and attempts to murder.

It has been said in the text of the decision the decision of trial court for rejecting the bail pleas is nullified. Exemption from attendance in respect of Imran Khan is also restored. Chairman PTI did not absent himself from the court deliberately. The state did not arrest chairman PTI Imran Khan in these cases despite cancellation of bail.

It has been further said in the decision that trial court should decide the bail pleas seeing this point.

Sessions court had dismissed the bail pleas in 6 cases and ATC in 3 cases being the cases not persuaded.

Chairman PTI had challenged the decision of trial court in 9 cases in IHC.
