House maid Rizwana torture case: Court reserves judgment on bail plea of Somia Asim

ISLAMABAD, August 10 (Online): Court has reserved judgment on bail plea of Somia Asim accused in minor house maid Rizwana torture case.

Bail plea of the accused Somia Asim came up for hearing before district and sessions court Islamabad in house maid torture case Thursday.
Judicial magistrate Shaista Kundi heard the case.
Defence counsel Qazi Dastgir and counsel for plaintiff Faisal Jutt appeared in the court.

Prosecutor Waqas Harral and parents of affected house maid were also present in the court.
The counsel for plaintiff requested the court some time is needed for preparation of arguments on bail plea.

Judge Shaista Kundi replied there is no need of time. Arguments have to be given today.

The defence counsel Qazi Dastgir requested the court report of medical checkup done in Sargodha at 3 p.m night is needed. I read medical report of Sargodha which is there in record.

According to report clauses were added against Somia.

The counsel for the accused took the plea when the minor house maid was handed over to her mother she did not check her.

Judge Shaista Kundi remarked how the mother could see her daughter in the beginning.

Judge inquired from mother of house maid does her daughter wear scarf.

Mother of house maid replied her daughter does not wear scarf. She was forced to wear scarf to conceal it.

The counsel for the accused told the court mother of house maid kept on sitting in their vehicle for ten minute.

The judge inquired from the mother of house maid injustice should not be done with anyone. Tell us truth.

The mother of house maid told the court her daughter was sitting on front seat. Driver threatened me.

Judge Shaista Kundi remarked in video the house maid is being seated in bus. show the video wherein she is alighting from vehicle.

The court reserved judgment on bail plea of the accused Somia Asim.
