Hearing of judicial complex riots case against Pervez Elahi adjourned till October 24

ISLAMABAD, October 13 (Online): Former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Pervez Elahi was taken to judicial complex on completion of his judicial remand in judicial complex riots case.

He was presented before duty judge Shah Rukh Arjumand being ATC judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain on leave.

Defence counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq also appeared in the court along with Pervez Elahi.

Duty judge Shah Rukh Arjumand said on this occasion has challan been filed to the extent of Pervez Elahi.

The court staff said judicial remand of Pervez Elahi has to be extended.

The investigation officer said challan has come to the extent of Pervez Elahi. Notice has been issued.

Duty judge Shah Rukh Arjumand said we fix the next date of Pervez Elahi alongwith co-accused.

On hearing this Pervez Elahi himself came to rostrum saying he does not want October 24 to be fixed as next date.

Defence counsel Sardar Abdul Razzaq said fix the date far beyond October 24. Pervez Elahi has to appear in the court at Lahore.

Duty judge Shah Rukh Arjumand said we have fixed the date of Chaudhry Pervez Elah along with co-accused.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case till October 24.
