Faizabad Dharna case: SC seeks report from inquiry commission within a month

ISLAMABAD, January 22 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) has given one month more time to Inquiry Commission (IC) in Faizabad Dharna implementation contempt of court case.
It was said in the order of SC that Election Commission (EC) has presented detailed implementation report.

The order said EC filed report on court’s order. The EC report has not been reviewed so far. EC report will be reviewed. If necessary order on EC report will be issued on next hearing. Proper order will be issued after reviewing EC report.
Faizabad Dharna Inquiry commission proceedings could not be completed within two months.
SC sought its report from Faizabad Dharna Commission within one month.

A 3-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa took up the case for hearing Monday.

Attorney General (AG) appeared in the court and told he has filed two miscellaneous petitions. Inquiry commission work is continuing and work has not been completed so far. Therefore, more time be given.

The court while giving more time adjourned the hearing of the case.
