Evacuee trust property case: SC rejects review petitions

ISLAMABAD, March 12 (ONLINE): Supreme Court (SC) has rejected the review petitions against possession of evacuee trust property by Punjab government.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has remarked how can we issue order to Punjab government when it has not been made respondent in the petition.

Chairman Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) had filed 4 review petitions against SC decision for retrieving 25 marla land. The court had rejected the petition. Upon it they filed appeal plea.
Ikram Chaudhry advocate appeared on behalf of chairman ETPB.The case was heard by 3-member bench of SC presided over by CJP Qazi Faez Isa Tuesday.

Ikram Chaudhry argued that precious 25 marla land of ETPB is in the possession of government of ;Punjab which should be got returned.
The court raised question have you made Punjab government respondent.
In this regard it was told Punjab government has not been made respondent.

The court remarked the relevant respondent has not been made respondent by you. How can we issue order in this regard in this situation.
The court rejected review petition.
