Ban on live telecast of speeches of Imran Khan: LHC seeks reply from state counsel

LAHORE, Oct 10 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from state counsel on the petition filed against ban on live telecast of speeches and display of name of Imran Khan by TV channels.
The miscellaneous petition against not broadcasting live speeches and displaying picture and name of Imran Khan by TV channels came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza Tuesday.
The state counsel said according to them there is no ban on displaying picture and name of chairman PTI.

Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza remarked If it is so then I will summon authorities of TV channels. You file the reply . Write things therein. Then we see it. If there is pressure from above on chairman PEMRA then he should resign. Chairman NAB has resigned too.
The counsel for Imran Khan presented the record of respective TV channels in USB in the court.

The LHC sought reply from state counsel on the petitions filed against ban on live telecast of speeches of PTI chairman Imran Khan despite court orders.
