Baloch protesters resort to IHC against Police harassment

ISLAMABAD, Jan 03 (Online): Baloch protesters sitting outside National Press Club (NPC) has resorted to Islamabad High Court (IHC) against their persistent harassment by Islamabad police.

One Sami Din Baloch has filed petition in IHC through counsels Atta Ullah Kundi and Emman Mazari.

Interior secretary, IG Islamabad, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and SHO Kohsar police station have been made respondents in the petition.

The petitioner has taken the plea that court should order respondents to return the loudspeaker snatched from the protesters. The court should also order the respondents to return the vehicles confiscated illegally.
The court should also order the respondents to provide details of the cases registered against Baloch protesters from Turbat to Islamabad.

The court has been requested to issue order to respondents not to harass the Baloch protesters and not to expel them from Press club.

The court should order the police to identify the unknown persons who have snatched loudspeaker from Baloch protesters and initiate action against them.

The court should direct the respondents to appoint high ranking police officers, civil administrator for security of Baloch Dharna.
