US President expresses best wishes to Chinese counterpart

WASHINGTON Oct 28 (Online): US President Joe Biden has met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Central Committee, at the White House.

In a meeting with Chinese media on Saturday, Biden expressed his best wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying the United States values its relationship with China.

US are keen to maintain ties with China to address global challenges jointly: Biden.

On this occasion, Wang Yi said that One China principle and the three China-US joint declarations are the most important political foundations of bilateral relations, which should be truly protected in any case.

China values US position that it wants to strengthen and improve its relations with China, Wang Yi.

According to the three principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and joint cooperation put forward by President Xi Jinping, we must truly strengthen and improve China-US relations, not only the two countries and the two countries, Wang Yi said.

Further he said it is not in the basic interest of the people but also in line with the common expectations of the international community.

During his visit to the US, Wang Yi also held talks with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and US President National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan.
