Govt has undertaken initiatives to empower youth: PM

LAHORE, OCT 31 (ONLINE): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar says government has undertaken various initiatives to tap into our economic potential and empower the youth.

Addressing 1st Convocation of Institute of Art and Culture in Lahore Tuesday, he said Pakistan needs skills, creativity and leadership skills of the youth to move the economy forward.

The Prime Minister said we need passion, innovation and commitment of youth for social justice and their determination to make a positive impact on society to fulfill the dreams of our forefathers.

Referring to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Prime Minister said it is a game changer project that holds the potential to transform our economy.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said we also have to look at the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. He said the youth of Pakistan is our most valuable asset and the young minds of Pakistan are eager and enthusiastic to contribute to the country’s development.

The Prime Minister said education sector in Pakistan has played a vital role in driving economic development and shaping country’s future.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar advised the passing out graduates to be well equipped to face challenges and opportunities to go forth and make the nation proud for the future of Pakistan.

He also lauded the hard work and dedication of the faculty and staff of the institution saying that this convocation acknowledges and celebrates the invaluable role of the Institute of Art and Culture in society.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister awarded degree and medals among the passed out graduates.
