CPEC project completes 1st decade, Pak-China eternal friendship

ISLAMABAD Oct 11 (Online): CPEC project, an eternal example of Pakistan-China friendship, has completed 10 years.

Major projects are underway in Pakistan under CPEC, including Peshawar Karachi Motorway, Karakoram Highway Phase 2, Lahore Orange Line Metro and other projects.

According to details, CPEC project was laid in 2013 to take China-Pakistan friendship to greater heights.

The year 2023 marks a decade of the CPEC project. Beijing has released a comprehensive document to review the historic BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) this year on the 10th anniversary of CPEC.

BRI is a long-term, international and systematic project of the 21st century.

From 2013 to 2022, the total value of imports and exports between China and various BRI partners has reached $19.1 trillion, with an average annual growth rate of 6.4%. Sahiwal, Port Qasim in Pakistan under CPEC.

Under CPEC, Gwadar Port in Pakistan is also making new progress. K2 and K3 units of Karachi Nuclear Power Plant have also been completed using China’s Hualong nuclear technology.
