China re-elected as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council

United Nations Oct 11 (Online): China was successfully re-elected as a member of the Human Rights Council for the term 2024-2026 at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Chinese representative expressed his sincere gratitude to the member states for their trust and support and extended his hearty congratulations to the other members elected during the same period.

China adheres to the principle of putting the people first and the development of human rights in line with the trend of the times and according to its national conditions, as well as Chinese-style modernization, according to China Media on Wednesday. In the process of promoting the protection of human rights and all-round human development is continuously improving.

This is China’s sixth term as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council, one of the most elected countries. It shows full validation of its active participation in international human rights cooperation.
