ISLAMABAD, June 27 (Online): Pakistan has decided to participate in Doha talks on Afghanistan taking place this week.
According to diplomatic sources Pakistan special representative on Afghanistan Asif Durrani and Assistant foreign secretary (West Asia) Ahmad Naseem Warraich will represent Pakistan in the talks.
Pakistan delegation led by Asif Durrani and Ahmad Naseem Warraich will leave for Doha within next few days.
The third two days Doha talks will start from June 30 under UN.
Afghan interim government will formally participate in third Doha talks and conference in the current year.
Afghan interim government had boycotted second Doha talks due to participation of representatives of Afghan women and civil society representatives,
Sources said for the first time special representatives from world on Afghanistan will sit face to face with Afghan Taliban in Doha talks.
UN will make consultation with representatives of Afghan Civil Society inside and outside Afghanistan ahead of Doha talks.
The representatives of Afghan women and Afghan civil society will talk to special representatives on Afghanistan on July 2 after Doha talks.
