ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (Online): Media staged walk out from press gallery during Senate session against forced retrenchment of journalists and media workers from media houses.
The walk out was staged by journalists affiliated with Parliamentary Reporters Association (PRA) Tuesday.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani while taking notice of walk out of journalists directed the delegation including caretaker information minister to hold talks with the journalists.
The delegation including caretaker information minister Murtaza Solangi held talks with the journalists and the caretaker information minister assured the journalists to raise their problems at every forum.
He said they are with workers and not with owners. I will talk to chairman PEMRA today. The owners of BOL and Dunya will be called in the meeting of standing committee on Friday.
We will take action against Public news, Geo, Aaj TV and other institutions for delay in payment of salaries.
