Non-Shariah Nikkah case: Court accepts Bushra Bibi for exemption from attendance plea

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (Online): The exemption from attendance plea of Bushra Bibi wife of former chairman PTI has been accepted in Non-Shariah Nikkah case.

The Non-Shariah Nikkah case against former chairman PTI and his wife Bushra Bibi came up for hearing before district and sessions court Islamabad Monday.

Senior civil judge Qudrat Ullah heard the case.
Junior lawyer of Rizwan Abbasi counsel for petitioner Khawar Manika appeared in the court. He told the court Rizwan Abbasi is in high court. It is requested that an interval be made in the hearing of the case.

The junior lawyer said Rizwan Abbasi will appear in the court till 11a.m.

The court announced interval in the hearing of the case till 11 a.m.
When court resumed hearing, an exemption from attendance plea of Bushra Bibi was presented in the court.

Usman Gill counsel for Bushra Bibi told the court his client Bushra Bibi is in Lahroe being unwell.

The counsel Usman Gill told the court production order in respect of former chairman PTI have not been implemented so far.

The court remarked we wait for production report of former chairman PTI.

The counsel Usman Gill said what report has come from jail, you too know it.

The learned judge remarked I don’t know what report has come. You tell it what report has come.

Usman Gill said Supreme Court had ordered for election which was not implemented.

Judge Qudrat Ullah remarked you should keep yourself limited to this case.

The counsel requested we have to come from Lahore therefore, a long date be fixed.

The judge remarked “you should hire a house on rent in Islamabad for some period.

Judge Qudrat Ullah further remarked I accept the plea for exemption from attendance on Monday. The attendance be ensured on next hearing.
