KSrelief distributes 350 food packages among residents of Broghil Valley

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP):The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 350 food packages among the residents of the remote Broghil Valley in Upper Chitral.
“In response to the challenging circumstances faced by the residents of this isolated region, KSrelief has initiated the distribution of 350 food packages, which is part of the 3rd phase of KSrelief Food Security Support Project Pakistan 2023-2024,” said a news release issued here on Saturday.

Each food package, weighing 95 kg, includes 80 kg of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kg of sugar, and 5 kg of Daal Chana—sufficient to sustain a family throughout the month.
This humanitarian effort was initiated in response to a special request from the Secretary of RR&SD KP and involved collaboration with NDMA, PDMA, UNOCHA KP, and FAO, and implementation through the joint efforts of KSrelief and the EHSAR Foundation.
The distribution of these food packages underscores KSrelief’s commitment to reaching the most vulnerable populations, even in remote and challenging areas.
The initiative aimed to provide essential sustenance to improve the well-being of the community, particularly amidst the unique hardships posed by severe winter conditions.
Approximately 2,450 individuals in the Broghil Valley have benefited from this relief package, demonstrating the tangible impact of humanitarian efforts in addressing the needs of communities facing adversity.
