PESHAWAR Oct 20 (Online): Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) has rejected the claim of 15 crore 37 lakh rupees due to WSSP of PESCO as false and said that the company is not defaulting on the bill, the bill is due are paying on time.
In an explanatory statement, the spokesman said that the surcharge and arrears are illegal.
It is excessive to put this amount in the arrears due to WSSP. On top of these arrears, PESCO has sent a surcharge of Rs 6crors 80 lacs.
According to the spokesperson, an additional bill of Rs 3.7 million has been sent for burnt meters, this amount is disputed, and similarly a bill for a tube well has been sent in lump sum of Rs 93 lakh. Lump sum has been sent excess bill is wrong it has to be corrected by PESCO.
The spokesperson said that Pesco has been paid for the replacement of 23 burnt meters in 2019, but new meters have not been installed yet. Letters have been written to PESCO top officials to solve the problems related to bills, but the problem is still pending. Unsolved problems should be resolved by PESCO authorities.
