Pakistan change history, qualifies for FIFA World Cup match

ISLAMABAD Oct 17 (Online): Great news for Pakistan from the field of sports, Pakistan qualified for the second round for the first time in the history of football after defeating Cambodia by one zero in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Haroon Hamid scored the only goal of the match played at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium in the 69th minute.

The first half of the match was scoreless. Pakistan finished second in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers for the first time in football history.

Federal Minister of Information Murtaza Solangi, Federal Secretary for Inter-Provincial Communication Ahmed Hanif Orakzai, Balochistan Provincial Sports Minister Jamal Raisani, Director General Pakistan Sports Board Shoaib Khoso were present in thousands of fans.

Thousands of fans also celebrated Pakistan’s victory at the Jinnah Stadium.
