Israel must respect international laws of war: Joe Biden

WASHINGTON Oct 11 (Online): US President Joe Biden has urged Israel to respect the international laws of war in the ongoing operations in Gaza.
According to a foreign news agency, US President Joe Biden asked Israel to respect the laws of war in response to Hamas’ attack from the Gaza Strip.
He has warned Iran of the consequences of interfering in the current conflict.

Joe Biden said during a meeting with representatives of Jewish Americans in the United States that I had an important conversation with the Israeli Prime Minister (Benjamin Netanyahu). That is, it is really important that Israel, despite all the anger and resentment, act according to the laws of war.

He added that I have sent a clear message to the Iranians to stay away from the Gaza war.

We will continue to work with our partners in Israel and around the world to ensure Israel’s right to defend its citizens, he added.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has started talks with the Palestinian movement Hamas for the release of Israeli hostages.

According to the foreign news agency, the sources said that negotiations are currently underway for the release of the hostages.
A senior Turkish official said that Turkey is negotiating the release of citizens detained by Hamas.

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has released a video clip showing the release of an Israeli woman and her two children after being detained for several days in the Gaza Strip.
According to the foreign news agency, the clip, along with the photo, shows an Israeli woman with her two children crossing the fence separating the Gaza Strip and Israel, accompanied by gunmen from the al-Qassam Brigades.

According to the short clip, al-Qassam’s gunmen let the Israeli woman enter the fence before heading back to Gaza.

The spokesperson of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has said that the situation in Gaza has become catastrophic, because the supply of food, water and electricity is continuously decreasing in the besieged city.
