Dharamshala’s sandy ground is a cause of trouble, players fear injuries

HYDERABAD Oct 08 (Online): During the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup in India, concerns were expressed at the stadium in Dharamshala.

The sandy outfield of the Dharamshala Stadium became a source of worry for the coaches and players as the players hesitated before diving.
It should be noted that the first match between the teams of Bangladesh and Afghanistan was played in Dharamshala yesterday.

During the fielding of the match, Afghan players’ knees and feet continued to sink into the ground, while Afghanistan’s Mujibur Rehman narrowly escaped with a knee injury.

Afghanistan’s head coach Jonathan Trott also expressed his concerns about the condition of the ground and pointed out Mujibur Rahman’s left knee injury. I will not declare, we are lucky that Mujeebur Rahman has survived a serious knee injury, the players are forced to think whether to dive or not.

I am not making any accusations but there are some issues that need to be looked into, he added.
On the other hand, the Bangladeshi fielders also faced difficulties due to the outfield.

The next match in Dharamsala will be played between Bangladesh and England on Tuesday.

It should be noted that some time ago India’s match against Australia was shifted from Dharamsala to Indore due to the outfield.

The Indian board had said that the match had to be moved because of the harsh winter instead of the outfield.

Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets in the third match of the ODI World Cup in India. Bengal Tigers achieved the target of 157 runs in the 35th over.
