RAWALPINDI, OCT 02 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has ordered police to present Sheikh Rashid within a week.
The petition against arrest of former interior minister Sheikh Rashid came up for hearing before single bench of LHC led by Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan here Monday.
RPO Rawalpindi Syed Khurram appeared in the court.
The court questioned from RPO Rawalpindi Sheikh Rashid and two other persons with him are where. Will you give it in writing to court or produce Sheikh Rashid.
On being inquired from court, the RPO sought 15 days time more from the court.
The court remarked 15 days are too much. This is not ordinary matter. Two days time will be too much.
Justice Sadaqat Ali remarked I give 7 days time due to request of Sardar Abdul Razzaq counsel for the petitioner. If Sheikh Rashid is not produced within a week, the court will order for registration of FIR.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for one week.
