SIFC special meeting to be held under PM on Oct 2

ISLAMABAD, SEP 30 (ONLINE): Important meeting of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) will be held under care taker Prime Minister (PM) Anwar ul Haq Kakar on October 2.

According to sources 45-point agenda will come under discussion.
The authorities of 13 ministries will give briefing in the meeting.

Briefing on the prevailing situation of Reko DEK project will be taken in the meeting.
The possible agreements on Tapi gas pipeline and purchase of oil and gas between Saudi Arabia Aramco company and PSO will come under consideration.
The matters of production of gas and its shortage in the country will also be reviewed.

Briefing will be given on ongoing campaign against power pilferage in the country.
Financial plan regarding construction of Diamer Bhasha dam will also be presented. Briefing will be given on corporate and live stock farming in Cholistan. Approval will be given to National Bhal safai program.

According to sources the law of restoration of magistracy powers in the country will be reviewed.

Afghan transit trade and the steps for stopping smuggling will be reviewed.

Briefing will be given on the steps taken for enhancing exports.
Issuance of special investment initiative visas are part of agenda.
Briefing will be given on the steps for return of Afghan refugees.

The step for implementation of one document regime for Afghan refugees will come under discussion.

Briefing will be given on opening more corridors on Pak-Iran borders.
