More conjunctivitis patients reported

Lahore SEPTEMBER 28 (Online): The severity of conjunctivitis and dengue virus has further increased across Punjab, including provincial capital Lahore as a result of which the number of patients suffering from conjunctivitis and dengue fever has increased manifold.

According to reports, 13732 new conjunctivitis patients have been reported across province in last 24 hours.

According to spokesperson of Primary Health Department Punjab, total 368,810 patients of conjunctivitis have been reported in 36 districts this year.
Maximum 3878 patients of conjunctivitis came forward in Bahawalpur last day.

887 patients of conjunctivitis in Lahore, 1208 patients in Multan, 1721 new patients in Faisalabad, 219 new patients in Gujranwala came forward last day.

According to Primary Health Department, a patient with conjunctivitis recovers spontaneously in 8 to 10 days.

Citizens should take care of their eyes. Protect eyes from strong sunlight, smoke and dust. Separate the clothes and towels of the person suffering from conjunctivitis.

139 new patients of dengue were confirmed across province in last 24 hours.

According to Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan, 54 patients in Lahore, 45 patients in Rawalpindi, 12 patients in Multan, 3 patients in Faisalabad, 6 patients in Gujranwala, 3 patients in Sheikhupura, 2 dengue patients from each Kasur, Gujrat, Narowal, Sahiwal and Wihari while 1 new dengue patient from each Muzaffargarh, Chakwal, Toba Tek Singh, Mandi Bahauddin, Rajanpur and Bhakkar were reported.
