Dengue outbreak continues in Punjab, Dengue confirmed in 243 new patients

Lahore SEPTEMBER 23 (Online): Dengue virus has been confirmed in 243 new patients in last 24 hours across province.

According to Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan, 109 patients in Lahore, 54 patients in Multan, 45 patients in Rawalpindi, 11 patients in Gujranwala, 6 patients in Faisalabad, 2 patients from each Sheikhupura, Attock and Gujrat and 1 patient from each Muzaffargarh, Narowal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Chakwal, Toba Tek Singh, Khanewal, Lodhran, Khushab, Vehari and Jhelum surfaced during last 24 hours.

According to Health Secretary, currently total 146 patients of dengue are under medical treatment in Hospitals across Punjab.

According to health department, dengue virus in 49 more patients has been confirmed in last 24 hours in Rawalpindi.

The number of confirmed cases of dengue virus reached 903 this season.

62 patients in Holy Family Hospital, 31 patients in DHQ and 29 patients in Banazir Bhutto Hospital are under medical treatment.

The condition of 9 patients affected due to dengue virus is critical.

50 cases have been registered and 2 buildings have been sealed on violation of Dengue SOPs.

14 challan tickets have been issued and fine of RS 42500 has been imposed on violation of SOPs.

Overall 3156 cases have been registered and 548 buildings have been sealed. 934 challan tickets have been issued and fine of RS 5179000 has been imposed.

63 more cases of dengue have been reported in last 24 hours in Islamabad.

The overall amount of patients affected by dengue virus reached 680 in Islamabad.

69% are male while 31% are female who are affected by dengue.

44 cases have been reported in last 24 hours in rural areas of Islamabad.

The overall amount of dengue cases in urban areas reached 215.

The overall amount of dengue cases in rural areas reached 465.

91 patients in Federal General Hospital and 25 patients in PIMS hospital are under medical treatment.
