Islamabad SEPTEMBER 22 (Online): Senior Leader of PPP Syed Khursheed Shah said that Election Commission (EC) should have given only a date for elections. Neither Emergency nor martial law can be imposed in current situation.
While talking to media PPP Leader Syed Khursheed Shah said that when the last week of January was given then one of the 6 days of last week should have been given. This is constitutional matter where constitution is being violated. The responsibility of judiciary is there.
PPP Leader further said that it does not matter how many years the caretaker governments plan. We have become affiliated with a decease which can only be cured in a democratic and parliamentary system. If they don’t hold elections then what will they do when senate is over?
Election Commission (EC) may have given the last week of January due to fear of judiciary.
