Taiwan don’t qualify to join UN: China

BEIJING Sep 13 (Online): Spokesperson of Taiwan affairs in state council of China said that Taiwan is not eligible to join United Nations.

Further he said United Nations (UN) is intergovernmental organization comprised of sovereign states. Taiwan is part of China. China has the basic principle that is of international relations and consensus of international community. This is reality and its historic and constitutional base is clear.

We have made this clear many times in our opinion in UN with resolution no 2758, he maintained.

On Wednesday spokesperson identified Cairo declaration 1943, PatsDaim declaration 1945, article of Japan’s surrender 1945 and China’s announcement show this all that Taiwan has restored his sovereignty in reality.

After establishment of China in 1949, People’s Republic of China became the sole lawful government of whole china’s representative, he said.

Indeed, People’s Republic of China is the owner of sovereignty of whole China and he is capable of using this right. Taiwan as china’s one part has never changed its status and nor it will be allowed to change the status, he added.

Moreover he said in 1971 United Nations has passed a resolution no 2758 in its 26th meeting in which United Nation has restored People Republic of China’s all constitutional rights and accepted Peoples Republic of China’s government as sole representative.
