NEW YORK Aug 27 (Online): The United Nations (UN) has warned that Daesh and other terrorist organizations associated with it continue to be a serious threat to neighboring countries.
A UN counter-terrorism official told the Security Council that Daesh and its affiliates, including the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, are armed with NATO-like weapons.
This is a serious threat to conflict areas and neighboring countries.
According to the report, the terrorist organization ISIS may be involved in the attack in Pakistan in July.
According to the world body, the use of force alone without a coherent strategy can worsen the situation.
