Justice Ibrahim Khan takes oath as CJ Peshawar High Court

PESHAWAR Aug 25 (Online): Governor Khyber PakhtunKhawa Haji Ghulam Ali gave oath to acting Chief Justice (CJ) Muhammad Ibrahim Khan as permanent Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) in Khyber Pakhtun Khawa (PK) governor house in Peshawar.

Interim Chief Minister KPK Muhammad Azam Khan also attended the prestigious ceremony.
Law secretary Shagufta Naveed read the presidential declaration of appointment of acting PHC chief justice Ibrahim Khan’s as permanent chief justice.

Governor Khyber Pk Haji Ghulam Khan congratulated Ibrahim Khan on his permanent appointment as chief justice and expressed well wishes.
Caretaker provincial Information minister Barrister Jamal Shah Kaka Khel and others minister, Peshawar High Court judges, Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Inspector General Akhtar Hayat and other administrative officials from various departments attended the oath taking ceremony.

Justice Ibrahim Khan started his judicial career as Additional District and Session Judge from Kohat in 1993 and elevated to PHC as additional Judge on August 11, 2016 which led to confirmation as permanent judge of same court on June 01, 2018.

He took oath as acting chief Justice of Peshawar High court on July 07, 2023 when chief justice Musarat Hilali left office after serving as Chief justice for only one day.

Keep clear that Chief Jsutice Muhammad Ibrahim also appointed as commission on October 12, 2018 to probe heartrending APS incident of December 16th, 2014.
