Shadman Police station attack case: Bail plea of Dr Yasmin Rashid fixed on Aug 17

LAHORE, AUG 12 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) has fixed on August 17 hearing of PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid bail plea in the case of inciting others to attack Shadman police station.

Registrar office LHC has issued cause list regarding hearing of Dr Yasmin Rashid bail plea.

LHC bench comprising Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmad and Justice Raheel Kamran will hear the case.

The court while issuing notice to government and plaintiff of Shadman police station case has summoned reply.

The state and plaintiff of case of police station Shadman have been made respondents in bail plea.

The petitioner has taken plea in the petition that allegation was leveled to incite others for attacking police station Shadman. The accused Dr Yasmin Rashid is not nominated in FIR. A politically motivated case was registered. Several co-accused of the accused have been granted bail in this case.

It was further said in the petition that ATC trial court dismissed the bail plea of the accused despite lack of solid evidence against Dr Yasmin Rashid. The accused has been challanned in the case. Police need to conduct no more investigation.

It is requested to court to order for approval of bail after arrest of the accused.

Cases against Dr Yasmin Rashid are registered in police stations Gulberg, Shadman, Model town and Sarwar road.
