GC University Lahore honors Lifetime Achievement Award to former COAS Raheel Shareef

LAHORE Aug 11 (Online): A ceremony was held in honor of former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif at his alma mater, Government College University, Lahore. General Raheel Sharif was honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by the university.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Syed Asghar Zaidi awarded the former Army Chief with an award.

General Raheel Sharif as the 15th Army Chief rendered valuable services to the country, after retirement as Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif became the first military commander of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition of 42 countries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Syed Asghar Zaidi said that he is very proud to give Lifetime Achievement Award to General Raheel Sharif.

There are some students who raise the prestige of educational institutions. We are all proud of the sacrifices and services of General Raheel Sharif and his family, said Vice Chancellor.

On this occasion, former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif said that being a narrator is no less than an honor. My both the brothers also studied from Government College.

He said that students are the future of our country, make full use of your time in educational institutions, passion and dedication are very important for success in life.
