Police firing on protesters in Lakki Marwat, one person killed, 4 injured

LAKKI MARWAT 10 August (Online One person was killed and 4 were injured during police firing on protesters in Lakki Marwat.

The police firing incident took place in Dara Pizo area of Lakki Marwat city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

There are reports that the people of Wanda Jogi were protesting on the Indus Highway since late night against the arrest of their associates while the police opened fire on the protesters following exchange of bitter words.

Police sources said that the police had arrested 4 people over the dispute with the Lakki Cement Factory.

After firing by police, the angry people placed the body of the dead person in front of the factory and started protesting again and closed the Peshawar Karachi Indus Highway for all kinds of traffic.

On the other hand after firing on protestors, police said that protestors fired at us in retaliation police resorted to aerial firing.
